There are many activities you can take part in while staying in Galway. There are a number of great golf courses, among which is the Galway Golf Club which is a 18 hole course located in Salthill which provides excellent views of Galway Bay. There is also excellent mountain walking in the area along with water sports and angling. Children visiting Galway are well catered for with facilities such as bowling, go karting and Atlantaquaria. If you are seeing Galway City up close, there are a number of walks around the city that can be taken. |

Eyre Square is both the centre of Galway and the hearth and soul of Galway. It was Mayor Edward Eyre who presented the plot of land to the city in 1710. The square has recently been redeveloped into a more modern attraction that befits the ongoing development of Galway. |
