Howth - An Introduction |
| |
|
| |
Howth Head is situated just to the north of Dublin City. Howth is a sea
side town and harbour that sits at the bottom of Howth Head. Howth is
an wealthy suburb of Dublin. The area is generally made up of houses,
but Howth village itself has excellent pubs and restaurants and a walk
along the pier is very relaxing. |

Howth Head stands roughly 200m above sea level. This is a great place
to come and watch the city from a height or the sun set. From here you
can see to the other side of Dublin Bay, and everything in between including
great views of Bull Island. |

To get to the best viewing platform is a 20 minute walk through natural
scrub but you will be well rewarded for the effort. Howth Head is visible
from much of Dublin and the best viewing platform is identifiable by a
rock face that sits just in front of the platform. |
