| |
-
Seat belts
Seat belts must be warn by all passengers when travelling by car in Ireland and it is the duty of the driver to make sure that everybody under the age of 17 is securely fastened in. Many injuries on the roads in Ireland could have been prevented by wearing seat belts. Offences carry an on the spot fine of €60 which must be paid within 28 days. Failure to pay this fine on time will lead to further fines, appearances in court and penalty points being added to your license.
