Lombard Street East

The central location of Malone's Dublin City Centre car hire Depot is very central and as such is surrounded by many areas of interest to both visitors to Dublin and historians.

Merrion Square is situated on the south side of the Liffey and is one of the finest examples of a Georgian Square in Dublin. The layout for the Square took place between 1762 and 1784. The Square is now a public garden and is surrounded on three sides by Georgian Houses and on the fourth side by the National Gallery of Ireland and the National History Museum of Ireland.

College Green is situated in-between the two central business districts of Dublin. The Green is a three sided square, surrounded on the East by the front entrance to Trinity College, on the North by the Bank of Ireland building (formally the Irish Parliament) and on the South by shops and Georgian buildings. One of the main attractions of this area is the character of the area and the statues that stand outside Trinity College and along Dame Street.

O’Connell Bridge joins the south side of Dublin and the North Side of Dublin. The bridge was designed by the famous Irish architect James Gandon in 1794. In 1879 the bridge was widened to the same width of O’Connell Street. This extension now makes this bridge the only bridge in Europe that is wider than it is long.
