Located in the North West of Ireland and forming part of the province of Connaught, County Leitrim is a dramatic hilly and mountainous area with large areas of unspoilt beauty. The county has several large lakes which form part of the Shannon River and is well connected to the rest of the country by a good standard of road and rail.
