Located in central Ireland, County Roscommon forms part of the province of Connaught. The county is made up of fertile farmland with rolling hills and more than its fair share of lakes with Lough Key being one of Ireland's principle lakeside attractions. Boyle is the main town in the county and is a lively market center with a great selection of shops and restaurants.
County Roscommon, like all other counties in Ireland has too many tourist attractions to mention but the Dolmen at Drumanone and Boyle Abbey are well worth the visit. |
